Automobiles in German City Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Police
Police reported they were alerted by a resident who noticed a car in Hanau marked with red-colored substance

Roughly fifty automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postboxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Officers state they were contacted late on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Officers then found numerous other smeared vehicles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under regulations banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Police say preliminary tests show the substance was likely human blood.

"There is still no indication as to its source; authorities are currently not cognizant of any physical harm in association with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to solve the incident" and have requested to the public for details.

A senior political figure stated the attack left him stunned and had to be resolved quickly.

"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine people by a assailant targeting individuals of foreign heritage in five years prior.
