19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a torrid year, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and finally separating with former mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set win over challenger Moutet.
This marks the player's initial title following the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface from that period of that year.
Victory also indicates the Russian has won twenty-one titles at 21 distinct events.
"For the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters together, so to secure a trophy is particularly special," stated ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child her name, because the first title I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle previously this season.
The player's defensive approach and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had prompted some to question if his capacity to play at the top level was finished.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to advance forward and play aggressively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, taking four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden ATP Tour title, gained dominance to push for a final set.
The opponent defended 4 initial break points in a tight deciding set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner secured the title with a point at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
